Canberra – A new adventure with its own set of problems has hit the road in Australia and its author is not ready to let go.
In a video posted to Facebook by The Adventures of Peter Rabbit, Peter Rabbit (played by Christopher Lee) is shown riding on a motorbike through Canberra.
“I don’t know what it’s going to be like for the next couple of years, I mean we’ve got the cyclo-cross thing and we’ve also got some new adventures in the pipeline,” Mr Lee said.
The motorbike ride was shot by a friend in the area in January and Mr Lee is now keen to see the ride through.””
But I’m still on the fence as to whether or not I’ll be able to ride that, I don’t have any plans at the moment.”
The motorbike ride was shot by a friend in the area in January and Mr Lee is now keen to see the ride through.
“We had a really great experience on the motorbike,” he said.
Mr Lee said he and his friend wanted to shoot it in the same day so they didn’t have to stop for anything.
“It was a great experience but it was just a bit too dangerous, there was no air-conditioning or anything, and I had to get the air-con on the bike,” he explained.
“So we had to go out and shoot for another couple of days and then take it to a different location.”
Mr Lee’s friend was using a Nikon D600 with a 28-megapixel camera and the video was uploaded to YouTube a few weeks ago.
The video has now been viewed more than 1.8 million times.
“As soon as it was uploaded, it was like a bomb went off in my head, it wasn’t like the video itself that was scary, it just was so, so much better,” Mr Lane said.
The motorbikes trip through Canberra is Mr Lee’s first time riding in Australia.
“The first thing I thought was this is it,” he laughed.
“You know, it’s a bit of a challenge to actually go out there and ride this thing in the first place, but we’re having a good time.”
What’s really exciting about it, it could have been a bit much, but it’s really cool to get out there on the road and actually go for a ride and see what it can do.
“The Adventures of Tom Bombadil, which was filmed in February, was the most popular video of the year and Mr Lane and his partner Emma (Kate Langford) were inspired by it.”
Emma and I were going to the same pub as everyone else and we’d all been watching the video of Tom’s adventure,” Mr Langford said.
