Roma have completed the signing of the Serie A club’s top scorer Giuseppo Sannini on a one-year contract, while his assistant Marco Di Vaio has been released.
The 24-year-old Italian has scored in every Serie A match this season, scoring 13 goals in 24 appearances.
Sannini, who joined Roma from Milan in 2018, has helped the Giusepies to second place in Serie A and reached the Champions League quarter-finals, with five goals in five matches.
He has played for Juventus for two years and made his Serie A debut in the league’s first leg of the last-16 tie against Inter in March.
He had previously scored in Serie B for Sampdoria in 2017-18 and was capped by Italy at the 2018 World Cup.
He made his international debut in October 2018 for Italy, scoring a goal in the 4-1 victory over Germany.
Sampdoria have won the Scudetti three times, including twice in the Champions league, but have never won the Serie B title.
